Extract the .act and .raw files to your C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Monster Truck Madness 2\ART directory (or wherever your ART directory is) and extract the .bin files to your MODELS directory - and you'll have 4 new trees to play with!

These are my first bins using Binedit, created by following the excellent tuorials at The Monster Truck Madness Guild site (http://karf.net/mtmg/).

After setting up the vertices etc in Binedit I found the easiest way to get the textures was to use Guitar Bill's Traxx. All you have to do is create your texture (in any old paint program), get the size right - 64 x64 pixels or 256 x256 pixels - convert your finished masterpiece to a .gif (8 bit paletted/256 colors) --- here I found it useful to set the background transparency--- then simply copy to the clipboard. Open up Traxx (I keep a Traax file called Bintest for this purpose), view/textures, then paste it into the textures box (after giving it a name).
This creates the .act and .raw files for you without having to mess around with converting palettes. I think it's only PaintShopPro that uses .pal files. PSP is a fine program but has it's limitations. I use Corel Photopaint myself - I've been using it for a few years so I'm probably biased - BUT I still need PSP to open .raw files. If anyone knows how to open .raw files in Corel please let me know!
Anyhow, back to Binedit and just load your new textures and apply to your faces.
Hope this is of help to anyone who uses thes files - give me a credit if you use them in your tracks please.

Keep on Monster Truckin'
